The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
